This 'Nak'waxda'xw Warrior Mask is hand-carved and signed by Kwakwaka'wakw artist Talon George from the Gwa’sala and ‘Nakwaxda’xw First Nations in Port Hardy on Vancouver Island. The mask has been carved from red cedar, painted in red, brown, and black acrylic, and trimmed cedar bark.
The last image shows Talon holding the mask.
The mask including the cedar bark measures approximately 20 inches or 51 centimeters high, 16 1/2 inches or 42 centimeters wide, and 7 inches or 17 1/2 centimeters deep.
